Well, our little Catriona gets bigger everyday. She is such an amazing little girl. She makes us laugh constantly, with her silly laugh. Lately she has been sitting up on her own a lot more (her legs are finally getting longer giving her some support for that long torso of hers!), and will even stand up against the furniture by herself if you put her there. I’m sure it won’t be long and she’ll be crawling around, getting into everything.
So far, she is loving this eating solid food business. We’ve tried chicken (a favourite, just like her Mommy!), sweet potatoes, green beans (not such a fan), applesauce (Mmmmm…), avocado, carrots, as well as Farley biscuits and Baby Mum Mums. She also enjoys some good pineapple or lemon to suck on, as well as a little bit of potato from her Mom’s plate. She is quite independent and wants to help feed herself. This makes quite a mess, but it is entertaining nonetheless.
She went to her first Blue Jays game last weekend, and seemed to get a real kick out of it. She did really well, and also enjoyed her first GO train rides. Next up, New York City!! We also took her to the park for the first time yesterday. She LOVED the swing and wasn’t quite sure what to make of the slide…
It’s really hard to believe that she was born six and a half months ago. In some ways, it seems like she has been a part of our family forever. In other ways, it is crazy to see how fast the time has gone by! Each day brings new experiences and joys to our lives in watching her grow up (a little too quickly…).
