Catriona Lynne Currie

October 4, 2007

Yes that is right. As of Oct 4th 2007, iBaby is officially known to the world as Catriona Lynne Currie (pronounced “Katrina” if you are having trouble. See Catriona Lemay Doan, Canadian Olympic speed skating champion, though ours is not named after her). Baby and Mom are both doing well, though extremely tired. There is certainly more story to this than I am telling (including the part where I figure we were one more good try away from having to have a C-Section instead), but the bottom line is that I went to work on Wednesday at 7:30am, and left the hospital to write this note around 4:30pm on Thursday. All worth it, since I am now officially a daddy.

Needless to say, pics to follow, and more on this story later. Right now, I need a shower and need to get back to my wife and baby (God that sounds great).

Coming Soon

September 16, 2007

iBaby is very nearly here. That would explain why after posted a few grainy ultrasound shots of iBaby, I’m once again on here, months later, talking about Jenn’s and my soon to arrive bundle of joy. If you wish to get a sneak peak at iBaby’s room, check out my Flickr site, and click on the set “Baby’s Room” to see the evolution of “Jenn’s office” to what might be the prettiest room in our home.

AND needless to say, this blog is going to become more and more active in the next while. So keep your eyes peeled to this blog, for the updates on the arrival of iBaby.

Introducing “iBaby”!

May 29, 2007

iBaby Head Shot
Today, I begin yet another blog. But unlike most of my other blogs, and my method of thinking, this blog might actually have some focus. My wife, Jennifer, and I will be having a baby soon, and I wanted to create something online that would allow our friends and family a common area to keep up with all things “Baby Currie” related. For identification purposes, we have chosen the codename “iBaby” for the baby, as we do not wish to know the gender until iBaby’s birthday. Why iBaby? Honestly, it seemed trendy, and we thought it was funny. I can only assure you that we will NOT actually name the child iBaby. We may enjoy a laugh, but we are not cruel.

I plan to post photos, short videos, dialogue, and whatever may pertain to the baby’s life on here. And I encourage commentary (and if you can’t comment, please email me and let me know). If you are looking for photos, they will also be posted at my flickr account, which is one of the links on this page. I don’t think that this site will win any awards for creativity, but certainly it will be a great way to share information about our wonderful child, in the 21st century.

Oh and of course, please Apple, don’t sue us. We promise not to license the name “iBaby”.
